Project for Researching the Technical Guidelines for the Upgrad and Rebuild Stage of Refuse Incineration Plants

Absrtact
Now although 24 incineration plants still run well but their efficiencies are reducing gradually because ageing. The EPA promotes to extend the service life of incineration plants and improving their functions at the same time (ex. Energy recovery, carbon reduction) because of limited budget. So the EPA developed relevant guidance in order to provide the local government for reference when they considering the ageing problems of incineration plants . In June 2017, the Executive Yuan approved the EPA’s "Multifaceted Waste Treatment Plan”, which subsidized local government to upgrade and repair the incineration plants, and introduced the waste-to-energy or waste-to-resource technology. Some EPBs have also processed the extension of incineration plant service evaluation and submitted funding applications, so the EPA further commissioned this project which conjuncts with the previous guidelines about performance diagnosis in order to complete the whole guidelines about extension life of incineration plants.
